Global Campus of Human Rights

The Global Campus of Human Rights is fostering a community of scholars, researchers and professionals to promote democracy and the implementation of human rights worldwide. The Global Campus of Human Rights - through its Regional university networks - advances innovative programmes and projects (masters, summer schools, and training seminars) that contribute to policy formation and assistance to democracy and good governance, promotion of the rule of law, and overseas development cooperation.

The Global Campus of Human Rights stated off as cooperation between existing EU-funded regional university centres organising Master’s programmes in different world regions - and having as central coordinating hub the European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation (EIUC) - to then develop into a fully-fledged global organisation which maintains its headquarters in Europe/Venice, but which membership is now fully extended to all regional universities.  

In additional to ensuring general coordination the Global Campus headquarters in Venice are also directly running the Global Campus-Europe, i.e. the European Master's Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation (E.MA) and the other educational and training activities which have a European focus.
